Terms of Service

These terms describe the relationship between you and OptionScout. By accessing or using the platform you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, or otherwise accessing OptionScout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service. We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted on this page is the one that applies to your use.

2. What OptionScout is
An educational screener and guided walkthroughs for the Wheel Strategy. Simulation only.

OptionScout provides educational screening tools, guided walkthroughs, and a simulated environment for practising the Wheel Strategy on US equities. The platform runs against simulated positions and public market-reference data; no order is ever routed to a broker, and no brokerage credentials, account numbers, or real positions are accepted, stored, or transmitted.

The platform is provided as a learning aid. It is not a brokerage, not an investment advisor, and not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice specific to your circumstances.

3. No investment advice
Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.

OptionScout does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. No content, screener output, ranked list, walkthrough, or simulated outcome on the platform constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or exercise any security or option. We do not act as a broker-dealer, investment advisor, fiduciary, or commodity trading adviser, and we are not registered as such in any jurisdiction.

You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Any decision you make to trade options or any other security should be made only after consulting a licensed financial professional who is aware of your full financial situation. Options trading involves risk and is not suitable for all investors; you could lose your entire invested capital.

4. Beta-stage changes
The platform is in active beta; features may change, be removed, or become temporarily unavailable.

OptionScout is provided during an open beta. We may add, change, restrict, or remove features at any time, with or without notice, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We do not guarantee continuous availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that any specific feature will remain.

5. Account and acceptable use
Use OptionScout only for personal learning and within the bounds we describe.
  • You may use the screener and walkthroughs for personal, non-commercial learning only. Do not redistribute, resell, or rebroadcast the platform.
  • Do not probe, scan, or test the security of the platform; do not attempt to access data that is not intended for you; do not interfere with or disrupt the service or any other user's use of it.
  • No automated access: do not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access or copy content from OptionScout except as permitted by our robots.txt for genuine search-engine indexing.
  • Do not misrepresent your identity, impersonate any other person or entity, or use the service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or are using the service in a way that creates risk for us or other users.
6. Intellectual property
OptionScout branding, copy, walkthroughs, and the screener itself belong to us; your inputs stay yours.

The OptionScout name, logo, product design, copy, walkthrough scripts, screener logic, and any other content we publish through the platform are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and interact with them for personal learning; you may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

The ticker symbols, filter inputs, and other content you supply to the screener remain yours. By using the platform you grant us a limited licence to process those inputs as needed to operate the service for you; this licence ends when the inputs leave the request.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

We provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, nor that any specific result will be obtained from using it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OptionScout and its officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, during the open beta, is zero).

8. Indemnification
You agree to cover us if your use of the service harms a third party.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OptionScout and its officers, employees, and contributors from and against any claims, losses, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or relating to your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.

9. Changes to these terms
Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.

We may revise these terms from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised "Effective date" at the top. Continued use of OptionScout after a posted update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with a future revision, you must stop using the service.
